CIGRE Australia has announced details for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Friday, 21 November 2025, at 11:00am AEDT. The AGM will take place in person at AusNet Services, 2 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank, Victoria, and will also be available via webcast to enable broader participation from across the country.
The meeting is open exclusively to members and employees of member organisations.
Board Elections: Call for Nominations
CIGRE Australia is inviting nominations for several key positions on its Board, with elections to be held during the AGM. Nominations close at 5:00pm AEDT on Thursday, 30 October 2025.
The following Board positions will be open for election:
- Chairman
- Deputy Chairman
- Treasurer
- ATC Chairman
- General Director (four positions)
Nominees must submit a completed nomination form, signed by the nominee, a proposer, and a seconder, all of whom must be eligible members. A 250-word candidate statement outlining background and motivation is also required.
NGN Co-Chair Applications
CIGRE Australia is also seeking applications for the Next Generation Network (NGN) Co-Chair, a volunteer leadership position focused on supporting and representing emerging professionals within the energy sector.
The role spans two years, with the option to renew for an additional term, and includes participation in international NGN forums.
Applications close at 5:00pm AEDT on Thursday, 30 October 2025.
This AGM presents a significant opportunity for members to contribute to the future leadership and direction of CIGRE Australia. All eligible members are encouraged to participate in the nomination and election process.
