Membership types
CIGRE membership is open to all individuals, companies and organisations. Membership types include individual memberships, company and education institution memberships referred to as collective memberships. 

Individual member I

Individuals involved in the industry. 2026 membership fee $369 including GST.

Individual member II

Individuals involved in the industry, under 35. 2026 membership fee $184 including GST. This discounted rate applies for the first two years of membership.

Individual member – student

Free membership is offered for full time tertiary students.

Collective member IA > 500 employees

Public or private companies, including power system transmission and distribution utilities, scientific and technical organisations, research institutes and administrative bodies. 2026 membership fee $2745 including GST.

Collective member IB < 500 employees

Public or private companies, including power system transmission and distribution utilities, scientific and technical organisations, research institutes and administrative bodies. 2026 membership fee $2194 including GST.

Please NOTE:  If you have previously been a member of another CIGRE National Committee or a member of CIGRE Australia, but your membership has lapsed, please contact our office directly and DO NOT use this online process.

Australian Panel Membership

Membership of an Australian Panel for our members requires application and acceptance by the Panel convenor.  If you are an existing or prospective member and would like to find out about joining a Panel, please email our office.

NGN Membership

Membership of CIGRE Australia’s young professional network – the Next Generation Network (NGN) is open to all individual members, employees of collective members and student members up to the age of 35.
