CIGRE 2024-2027 Strategic Plan
CIGRE Australia’s Board has recently approved its Strategic Plan 2024-2027. The Plan will provide focus for our activities over the coming three years and supports and aligns to CIGRE’s work and strategies internationally.
The Plan has three strategic focus areas:
- Grow our membership
- Advance the energy transition
- Attract and develop the workforce of the future
CIGRE Australia’s Chair Dr Sean McGoldrick says of the Plan, ‘CIGRE has always been about providing quality and impartial technical solutions and about collaboration. We are very conscious that these remain core to our Mission. We are seeking an increased emphasis on how we can support the energy transition and how we assist the growth and development of the workforce pipeline as critical objectives for our country. Lastly, we know the value members tell us they get from our technical conferences and workshops and are committing to an increase in these events, including running a biennial conference from 2025 on the back of our very successful Symposium in Cairns last year'.
The new Strategic Plan will also guide the focus of the various CIGRE Australia committees and Panels.
