Each year following the Annual Technical presentations, the Australian Technical Committee compile a summary report of their activities for the year.

Under the umbrella of SC B1 – Insulated Cables, WG B1.44 has recently published Technical Brochure 801.

Joint Working Group C2/C5.05 has recently published Technical Brochure 778, “Reliability standards and market rules related to maintaining reliability and market efficiency”. The Technical Brochure is intended to identify the challenges to system operators when they attempt to achieve power system operational reliability and market efficiency simultaneously, and manage the interactions between them. Australian members on the working group were Mark Miller and Greg Hesse.

Members of the Australian C6 Panel have been successful in having a paper accepted for presentation at the upcoming Paris Session 46 later this year.

Australian Panel (AP) B4 has contributed one paper to the Paris 45 conference to be held in August of this year, and two Working Groups are convened by AP B4 members. AP B4 is planning its annual meeting in Tasmania in October 2014, and a one day workshop on refurbishment of ageing SVCs in late 2014 or early 2015.

In October 2013, Cigré held several events at the Southern Africa Regional Conference based in Cape Town.

Australian Panel (AP) C5 has contributed three papers and is coordinating the Market Disturbance Workshop at the Paris 45 conference to be held in August of this year.
