About the Paris Session

The Paris Session is recognised worldwide as the leading global event for sharing power system expertise. Conducted every two years, this flagship event unites technical experts, industry leaders, researchers, and young professionals from across the entire electricity value chain.

What sets the Paris Session apart is its collaborative format. Rather than conventional presentations, hundreds of peer-reviewed papers are debated and examined interactively, driving deeper technical insight and innovation.

Paris Session at a glance:

  • 3600+ delegates
  • 9000+ industry participants
  • Representatives from 100+ countries
  • 300+ trade exhibitors
  • 30+ Study Committee sessions
  • 160+ working meetings across all technical domains

The 2026 Paris Session will once again serve as the cornerstone of CIGRE’s global knowledge programme, reinforcing international cooperation and accelerating progress on energy transition challenges.
