EOI – NGN support for B3 Green Book
CIGRE SC B3 is currently recruiting an NGN member to support the publication of the SF6 Green Book
Study Committee B3 Substations and Electrical Substations is finalising the SF6 Green Book, a landmark publication developed by leading global experts over the past six years. While the energy sector is navigating the transition away from this highly potent greenhouse gas, SF6 has been the industry standard for decades. Because there is a vast global fleet of existing electrical facilities that still rely on it, understanding its history, chemical properties, operational applications and risks remains critical. This 300+ page draft consolidates a comprehensive summary from international experts to serve as the definitive, one-of-a-kind, global reference on the subject.
The team is now looking for your help to revise and turn the current draft into a single coherent document that meets the strict requirements for publication of Springer.
The current opportunity focuses on:
- Working within Microsoft Word to manage a large complex technical document
- Assisting with formatting, referencing and ensuring a consistent voice across contributions from multiple international experts
- An eagerness to dive into the technical details of SF6, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of this technology
- There is also an expected involvement of at least 5 hours per week for 8 weeks
NGN members who are interested in this topic and have good documentation skills are encouraged to send an EOI.
We kindly ask for you to submit your CV and a 1-page cover letter to “ngn@cigreaustralia.org.au” stating the following:
- Your relevant experience
- What you hope to gain by participating in this Green Book
- If you are a collective member: support from your organisation of your intended participation
The PDF files should follow the following naming convention “Jean_SMITH_CV.pdf”.
Please submit this by 11:00 PM on Friday, 23rd October (AEDT). We aim to notify all applicants of the outcome by 6th November.
For all enquires, please contact ngn@cigreaustralia.org.au
